Loveline....

What did we learn at the Cabin Trip?!

Clint is the Love Doctor!

So if you have any questions about relationships, friendships, marriage, etc. just call Clint!

For those of you that went, you know, we had a blast up there in the mountains and we learned sooooo much about love and what God's intentions are for love.

Here's a list of resources that we used to discover a redefined love:

1.Sex God-by Rob Bell

"God and sex go together. You can’t separate the two, says Rob Bell, because this physical world is intimately linked to deeper spiritual realities. And so, in order to make sense of sexuality, at some point you have to talk about God. With beauty and unusual insight, Sex God explores this connection."

2.
Am I the One?-James R. Lucas

"James Lucas takes a different approach to the question of finding a spouse by focusing on the reader. The book is divided into four parts with a total of 12 chapters. He helps the reader build a solid foundation, face the realities of relationships and marriage, recognize the right match for a good marriage, and take a serious look at life in the now."

3.
I Kissed Dating Goodbye- Joshua Harris

"I was 21-years old when I wrote my story of giving up the dating game in order to focus on serving God. The hope behind it was that other singles would be helped by some of the lessons I was learning. Most people have an opinion about "that book about not dating." Some love it; others despise it. I'd encourage you not to assume you know what it says without having read it. Many readers who start out critics of I Kissed Dating Goodbye are surprised to learn that the core message of the book isn't about "dating," but living your life for God."

4.

Love Is An Orientation-Andrew Marin

"Marin’s story begins when three of his best friends “come out” over a three-month period. This title wave of revelation led him to deeply consider what he believed and how he was going to cope with this new reality, all three of his closest friends were gay! His decision, however, was one that some find strange. In order to completely answer the Holy Spirit’s call in his life, he decided to fully immerse himself in the GLBT community. Marin says that he wanted to be, “the most involved, gayest straight dude on the face of the earth.”

Love Is an Orientation will challenge you to believe that their lives are as real as ours, and our faith in Jesus Christ requires us to meticulously seek honest transparency not only within the GLBT community but in ourselves as well."

5.

Religion Saves-Mark Driscoll

"Forget political correctness and timidity. Through this gritty, didactic countdown, author Driscoll answers sensitive questions Christians may be afraid to ask. Pastor of the Mars Hill megachurch in Seattle, Driscoll (Vintage Jesus) asked his congregation to submit their burning questions online. After they submitted and voted on 893 questions, Driscoll answers the top nine in the nine chapters of this book. From worship styles to explicit discussions of sex and birth control, the topics represent timely questions with which real people struggle. Driscoll includes quotations, stunning statistics, endnotes and footnoted verse numbers as evidence. Historical context and pop-culture references help to further clarify the more complicated explanations."
