This week Pastor Steve talked with us about how easily we can stray from our shepherd. I've always heard that we were like sheep but I wanted to find out if it's really true-are we like sheep? So I looked up some facts about sheep and it turns out-we truly are....
1. "All sheep have a tendency to congregate close to other members of a flock"
2. "Sheep are also extremely food-oriented"
3. "For sheep, the primary defense mechanism is simply to flee from danger"
4. "Sheep can become stressed when separated from their flock members"
5. "sheep have a strong lead-follow tendency"
Does any of this sound familiar? This is us, guys! The article also said that because they are unintelligent, it is extremely hard to lead the sheep. Now can that be any closer to the truth when it comes to us?! Talk about having a hard time! Jesus sure puts up with a lot with us.
However, one thing is for sure, the sheep know their shepherd. Because they are so feeble, dumb, and scared, they rely on their master's guidance to a safe place. And they know their master's face because he feeds them.
Do you know your master's face? Do you go to your master to be fed?
The only way we will know our Master is if we go to him for our daily spiritual food and that is through the Bible. Know God's Word folks. Live it, breathe it, memorize it.
You can't live without food, so go to your Master and EAT.
Here's a funny video but so touching to see a shepherd rescue his sheep.
"We called the shepherd and he's going to look after it"
Jesus does the same thing for us.

That is a precious video. I love how the shepherd 'righted' the sheep and then watched and protected the sheep to make sure it returned to the flock. Thank You God~You do the same for us!
